We survived ... but barely
I took the flight to Tennessee with two kids and it was an adventure. First, when we got to the airport they told us that they had oversold the flight and I did not have a ticket. My sister did and they wanted to split us up. They kept stating over the intercom that they needed two people to give up their ticket so they could keep our party together. The plane started to board and at the last minute someone gave up their seat, thank you!! The ride to Chicago was not too bad and the kids actually did pretty good from Chicago to Nashville. However, they were so tired and so was I. While we were getting off of the plane I had Talya in the stroller and I hit a bump and out she flew. Hitting her nose on a metal bar. Her nose started bleeding and is a little black and blue. We had a hard time getting all the luggage to the rental car along with the three kids. Then, the whole way to my sisters house the kids cried and screamed. By the time we arrived we had all had it with each other and the kids were so tired. However, we did survive but barely. Hope JC will come and pick me up.

Shalee!!! I am so proud of you for getting thru all of that. I am sure you will look back and laugh but in the moment I can't imagine how frustrating that must have been..first the flight situation, trying to get around the airport with luggage and kids, the screaming... Hope you are having a great time now despite everything. Can't wait to hear about the trip! My wish for you is that both kids are little angels the whole way home.
That sounds HORRIBLE!!! Sorry you had such a bad time. Hope the trip and the time with family is worth it. I have some horror stories about traveling alone with the kids, but this just might beat them.
