Proud Mom

I had a great weekend and had many tearful moments. On Saturday we were invited to share with Morgan's baptism. It was great to see her make the decision to be baptized and I couldn't be more proud. She had her hair braided and pulled back and she looked so much like Talya I almost had to look twice. It really was an awesome experience. After the baptism we went to a little party at the church with Morgan and her family. I was a little nervous to meet all the aunts and uncles but it turned out to be no big deal. At the end of the party, Mary (Morgan's mom) asked if anyone would be willing to say a closing prayer. As usual all the adults looked down and were quiet. To my surprise Ryker proudly raised his hand. He went to the front of the room and said the prayer. I was so proud of him.

I was also excited and proud again today as Ryker participated in his first primary program. He stood and said his part, just as we had practiced. He wasn't shy at all. I was very, very proud of him. I am not sure that he knew all of the songs to sing but he stood and smiled when he didn't. Of course, he sang his favorite song, "Follow the Prophet." I am so happy that I am a mother and could experience the joy that my children bring into my life. I am realizing that it has to be one of the best moments in life to watch your children make good choices. I wish I had pictures to post but our camera is slowly dying.

It's just the beginning, She, you are an awesome mom and have such a great big heart to share in such special moments. Believe me you will cry from now till Ryker gets back from his mission, it just never ends.

Rycker is such a special little guy. We can't wait to get back to see all of you. One month and we will be home.
