New Stuff

I have decided I am a monthly blogger. I don't always have a computer around and therefore, when I actually get the time to sit down and write something it seems to be on a monthly basis, however, I do enjoy writing.
First of all, the soccer season is over for now. Ryker said, "Mom, don't ever sign me up to do that again." So, we are starting karate next week and hopefully he will enjoy that a little more. He is also graduating from Preschool on Friday. He is excited to move onto bigger and better things which include Kindergarten. I am not sure how I feel about this new adventure but at least I have a few months to prepare myself.

Next, I am trying to get a little creative when it comes to Talya's hair. She still has very fine and hardly any hair. I can not believe she is going to be three soon and has only had two hair cuts ever. However, she loves to have her hair done and sits nicely while I try new things. She is all girl and loves to show her dad her latest hair do when we are finished. Talya has decided that I am the "grandma" to all of her baby dolls and calls me such all the time. I am not sure that I am ready for that just yet but she enjoys the game. She has also developed a major attitude and is pretty much mad at me all the time. How in the world am I going to survive the teenage years? She folds her arms and stomps away for every little thing.

Last, I decided I needed a vacation so we took off to go see Grandma and Grandpa in St. George. I thought we would enjoy some warm weather and some sun. However, the Utah rain followed us and we enjoyed the rain for most of our trip. We took the kids to the temple and of course Talya threw a fit that she couldn't go inside the temple. I told her she needed to get married first and she said, "Mom, I don't want to get married." Oh boy!! We also took the kids to Zion's to hike. They were great sports despite the rain. Ryker was fearful and held my hand the entire time. He was worried he would fall off the paved path and was afraid to fall off a cliff. We really had a great time at Grandparents and enjoyed spending time as a family. We look forward to our summer vacations :)
