It is amazing how time flys before I realize that I haven't posted on my blog on a really long time. I am not sure if anyone even looks at this thing for updated info. but I thought I would take a moment to share some amazing blessings that I have had in my life the past few weeks. First of all, for those of you who don't know JC and I both have brothers on missions. JC's brother Austin is serving in France and we love hearing from him. My brother, Logan, is serving in Texas and was recently hit by hurricane Ike. It was a challenge to sit home and watch the television talk about all the horrible things happening in Texas, knowing that my little brother was in the middle of it all. However, I know that he has been in good hands and we all had faith in the Lord that he would be safe. Today is the first time that we have heard from him since the storm and I would like to share a little bit of what he had to say -- "Well just after transfer meeting we got a call from the assistants telling us that Hurricane IKE was on it's way and that we needed to Evacuate into the Lexington church building the next morning by 1200 so we packed our bags and headed off to lexington. Well long story short we have been without power for the last 8 days we just found out yesterday that our apartment has power so we will be heading back today. But anyway there was a good 70 missionaries staying in the church. It was crazy. But I think it really brought our mission together I got to meet a lot of new missionaries. One of the missionaries that I get along most with is Elder Fiefia from bingham high school. He was first team all-state running back. He is so tight and we are pretty much best friends we hung out pretty much every night. Well anyway back to Hurricane IKE it did so much damage there were trees down everywhere gas stations blown over I mean tons of stuff flooding and galvaston Island was underwater when the storm hit. So for the last 8 days we have been walking
around wearing yellow shirts helping out everyone in sight. We have had some amazing experiences. One Lady especially I would like to tell you about, her husband passed away about a year ago, and she kind of stop believing in God wondering why he would do such a thing. Well after the hurricane hit and knocked over a huge tree in the back of her house she decided to pray and ask for help because she had no idea how she was going to be able to get this massive tree out of yard. Well sure enough we show up to her house and she was just crying she was so grateful for us and she was so happy to see us. Oh that is what I live for is the happiness of others. It has happened so many times during the past week people are just so grateful when we show up to help them out. So this past week we have been without power staying in the hurch. Look for the church news maybe the Ensign you will see missionaries in there I am pretty sure. So things have been pretty crazy around here. Oh and the crazy hing was that night that the hurricane hit I think we were in a bubble no lie because I didn't hear a thing, either did any of the other missionaries we all just slept right through it. I have never seen anything like this I will try to send some pictures home as soon as I can. Thank you guys for everything --all your prayers. I love you. Love Elder limb"
Isn't it amazing how much the Lord loves us and really watches out for us. Another blessing we have had is my parents are serving a mission in London. It has been a challenge and very difficult for me to be without them. They are doing well and continue to find their mission as a challenge in itself. Although my family is spread across the world we have really relied on the internet and letters to keep us all in touch. We have also realized the hand that the Lord has in our lives. I am also happy to let everyone know that we will be having our baby girl on October 3rd, unless she surpises us and comes early. We are so excited to add this new addition and can't hardly wait to see Ryker hold the baby.

I love to hear how our young missionaries get out there and serve the people after disasters. Serving is what it is all about. It is also wonderful to see the blessing that the family at home receive. We look forward to our first great granddaughter!! Hope all is well. Love from New Zealand.
Yes, of course I check your blog! It's about time.... :)
That is awesome, and you never know how our little acts of service will affect others.
And so pumped for your little girl. Peyters and Alex need someone to play with. :)
