A little surprise

Well, things have been kind of crazy around our house this week. On Wednesday night around 10:00 pm I started feeling some contractions. I thought it was a false alarm and never believed that we would actually have a baby almost 3 weeks early. I had a very long night and at 4:30 am on Thursday 9/25/08 we decided to head to the hospital. We arrived and soon after discovered that I would be having the baby on that very day and I was indeed in labor. After receiving a wonderful epideral for the pain we started a long day of waiting for the baby to arrive. Finally she arrived at 3:08 pm that day. She was a small 6 lbs. 6 oz. and was 19 inches long. She came out very quiet and hardly made a sound and has really been the same since. She hardly ever cries and wants mom to hold her every second. Ryker met his baby sister later that night and was a little confused. I don’t think that he realized that all of the months of talking of his sister Talya in mommies belly was a reality. Ryker has been a great big brother. He loves talking to her and giving her kisses. It is a whole different challenge with two little kids but I really feel like they are two blessings from heaven.
