... and then there were TWO!

Life with two kids has been more of a challenge then I realized it would or could be. My problem has not been adjusting to life with a baby but more it has been adjusting to life with a helping two year old. Ryker has loved having a sister and loves to be a brother, too much in fact. He wants to help with everything and gets in the way a little too much. A few examples to share -- Talya was peacefully sleeping in the bouncer chair and Ryker decided to give her a kiss while leaning on the chair, not realizing it would tip her over, I ran to her rescue before she actually fell but it scared me. Then, while I was using the restroom Talya started to cry while she was in her crib. Instead of waiting for me, Ryker decided to run to help and decided to climb in her crib. Luckily, he was not on top of her and had not tried to pick her up before I got there, but it is only a matter of time. He also enjoys giving the swing an extra push so that she can swing extra high -- that is always fun for her. He helped her little belly button fall off by getting it wet in the bath tub. He has overall been great but we have had a few times when he forgets how to be nice. He has scratched her face and hit her. Needless to say, I am hanging in there and I am sure the adventures have only begun. I continue to remind them that there is no ganging up against me and they need to each take turns when it comes to demanding things from mommy. However, we have not figured that out yet. Wish me luck -- I need it!!
