A needed vacation

We enjoyed the week in Stanley Idaho. A long six hour drive away from home. We enjoyed spending time at a cabin owned by the Shupe family. We went with my sister from Tennessee, the local sister, my parents and grandparents. We enjoyed hours of time on the ATV's and fishing. It was a little boy's dream come true for Ryker. We first went to a lake where JC caught 8 fish. Ryker simply wanted to get in the water which was fresh run off from the snow. I let him take off his shoes and dip in his feet and throw rocks in but that was all. Talya loved riding on the four-wheelers and wanted to go fast. The next day we went for a beautiful drive on the ATV's high in the mountains that still had snow. We enjoyed a picnic. We also played a game of "win it in a minute." Which turned out to be very funny to watch. JC took a wild hike on Friday morning and we took the kids to another lake. It was very relaxing to spend time together with the family. Ryker loved his cousin Isaac from Tennessee and was very sad to see him go home. Talya loved finding water for Grandpa to fish in. Our little adventure happened on the way home. JC was driving his work truck and in Blackfoot ID, he tells me that the steering wheel feels a little funny. Wanting to make it home we continued on our way. In Roy, Ryker decides that he desperately needs to go the bathroom. As we pull into the gas station the steering tire ride pulls apart and the truck has no steering. We are able to safely stop and look at the tires. They are facing each other in a V-shape. We feel very lucky to have made it home safely and know that we were watched over.

I'm afraid if I don't comment, you'll take drastic measures and shut the blog down!! So comment is what I'll do!
Love the pictures, especially the one with all the cousins huddled up talking. So cute. I'm glad you at least made it to Roy with the truck...that could have been VERY very bad!!!
